In today’s fast-paced world, self-care often takes a backseat to our busy schedules. We wake up, rush to work, and collapse into bed, barely giving our bodies the attention they deserve. It’s time to question whether we are truly taking care of ourselves. Self-care isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity for a healthy, productive life.
Everyday everyone has 24 hours. Some use their time wisely while other focuses on excuses and then regret. We should spend time to take care of ourselves. Our first impression is our physical appearance. We get better when we take care of ourselves and participate in healthy activities.
The things we eat, we watch, we listen and we read makes our personality and changes our view about things. So, its necessary to take good care of your physical health.
How to take better care of yourself every day
Here I’m going to share few activities with you which can really change the game.
Don’t try to be night owl:
Maintain your sleep schedule and follow it. Sleep on same time daily. Switch off your mobile devices before going to bed. As time after 10 PM is good for healthy sleep and time after 6 AM is good for productivity. So, prefer mornings for works and nights for sleep. It not only improves your sleep but also increases your productivity in morning. Good sleep also improves your hormones control.
Drink enough water:
Right after waking up, drink a glass of water with a pinch of lemon juice. Drinking hot water increases your blood circulation and body metabolism, while cold water makes you wake up.
Drink 8-12 glasses of water all day. Try to use detox water which includes few slices of cucumber, lemon and a piece of ginger with mint leaves. This detox your body and improves your skin texture.
Go for a walk:
Spending time outside is such a cool activity especially in the mornings. Go for a walk. Walk at least 7k steps daily. This not only maintain your body but also helps you in focusing on your tasks
Meditate or Yoga:
Do some breathing exercise daily. Meditate for about 5-10 minutes according to your schedule. Meditation helps you in releasing stress and improve your focus. Yoga aids in improving overall body posture and appearance. Spend at least 20 minutes on yoga.
Eat healthy:
Once my college teacher says:
“I can recognize what you eat aby looking at your faces”
This means our face is the image of what we eat on daily basis. For better skin and good health intake healthy foods. Your 40’s reflects on the base of what you have eaten in your 20’s. So, always be conscious what you eat.
Take care of your skin:
Frequently use face mask according to your skin type. Don’t over wash your face. Have weekly and monthly schedule for your face care. Buy appropriate products for your face and body.
Dress nicely:
We humans always judge others by their physical appearance. For better impression always dress nicely and make your hairs. Don’t overdressed and under dressed. Try to wear according to need and event.
If you really want your life to be better, then try all these activities and be consistent on it. Nothing can be changed overnight. You have to struggle for it. Taking care of ourselves makes us happy in some ways. So, always try to make yourself happy. Stay blessed and take good care of your self.
