Controlling emotions doesn’t means heartless or selectively emotional towards something. We can’t be neutral in case of emotions. We can either heartless or have emotions. Having emotions means you still have a heart. And controlling emotions means we must understand where you have to show or where to suppress or controlling our mind.

They aren’t threatened by being wrong. They know that having a misinformed belief or an incorrect idea doesn’t diminish their worth as individuals.

3. Balancing logic with emotions:

They don’t use logic to dismiss their emotions. Instead, they validate their feelings by acknowledging them and avoid telling themselves or others that they “shouldn’t” feel a certain way.

4. Not everything is about them:

They don’t project significance onto everything they encounter. Specifically, they don’t assume that everything they see or hear is related to them. They resist comparing themselves to others, recognizing that such comparisons are often mindless and can be selfish.

5. True strength is found in calmness:

They don’t feel the need to prove their strength. Rather than projecting an inflated image of invincibility, they maintain a peaceful and calm demeanor, which is a true sign of security.

6. Facing pain with courage:

They don’t shy away from pain, even when it scares them. Instead, they confront discomfort to break old habits, trace the roots of relationship issues, and understand that avoiding pain often leads to greater discomfort.

7. Minimal complaining for validation:

Emotionally strong people don’t complain excessively. They understand that complaining is often a way to seek recognition or validation of their pain, but they avoid relying on others to affirm their feelings, focusing instead on addressing the real issues.

8. Avoiding catastrophic thinking:

They do not filter out certain aspects of an experience to catastrophize it. Emotionally strong people resist jumping to worst-case scenarios, understanding that such thinking stems from a lack of confidence in their ability to handle unexpected situations, which often leads to missing out on positive outcomes.

9. Letting go of expectations:

They don’t keep a mental list of what others “should” or “shouldn’t” do. They recognize that concepts of “right” and “wrong” are subjective and that expecting others to adhere to a universal code of conduct only leads to disappointment.

10. Not playing the judge:

They don’t consider themselves the ultimate judge of what’s right or wrong. When offering advice to friends, they don’t assume their own perspective is the best solution for everyone, respecting that each person may require a different approach.
